my friend in Qatar is getting married , what's an appropriate wedding gift for a close Qatari friend?

Depends on if it’s a man or a woman. Gifting a man for their wedding is less common but you could get him a box of good oud wood, oud oil, something like that.
If it’s a woman then you could send them flowers along with their favorite face/body care products. You could also get them a fancy tea set or cutlery set.
