Night of Knives: Edgewalker’s Role (Spoilers ALL)

SpoilerSPOILERS ALL

Re-reading the series and this time adding in the ICE book. I’ve just come to the part where Kiska is traveling through Thyr, with Corinn, to the Deadhouse and gets diverted to Shadow where she (re)encounters Edgewalker. He makes reference to the glacier encroaching on Shadow which, earlier in the book, was described as green (somewhat curiously as emerald rather than jade). He explains to Kiska that this glacier is “the more deadly threat [compared to K&D attempting to take the throne of shadow, and that] it is being resisted.” Am I right that this is some artifact of the Crippled God’s, somehow lodged in the Warrens? Edgewalker surmises that it may be Jaghut-related, presumably due to its green hue.

Alas, I don't think this has to do with the Crippled God. It has to do with (spoiler NoK): >!The Riders convering on Malaz Isle & Jhenna's (the Jaghut guardian of the Deadhouse) attempt at a power grab, possibly aiming for the very throne that Kellanved & Dancer would later claim.!<
