Nice timing with the next volume likely to come out in February. Tentai teased an announcement today, so the release date might even be it.

Publishers don't normally say that they are cancelling a series, they just stop commissioning new books. I guess that this is to keep up sales for the already published volumes and to keep the option open to publish more if the series does become popular in the future.
My understanding is that:
- Only Ice Queen volumes 1 and 2 have been/will be published in Japan.
- Both will be translated into English.
- Together they make a reasonable arc (ie, no major cliff hanger at the end of volume 2).
Obviously, I will only be sure about the last point when volume 2 is published and I read it. ;-)

Was interested in How to Melt the Ice Queen's Heart so I checked out Wikipedia and found this: "In early April, Futabasha decided to discontinue the light novel series after the second volume because it didn't sell well in Japan."
Seems like it's done :'(

Good stuff. Ice Queen Vol 2 has apparently finished translating so it’s not gonna be long until it releases

For what it's worth, I'm four chapters in and enjoying it so far.
Fingers crossed on that, given Tentai books recent problems.
As an update on this, releasing Feb 28th digitally, with them to 'start producing the physicals for Ice Queen 2'.
