Is there any chocolate bars on sale at your local news agents that are still worth eating, or has everything gone down the Cadbury encrapification route? I ask as I treated myself to an Orange Twirl on Saturday, and can remember walking home eating it and wondering why I bothered wasting money on something so crap.

Can you tell me (and everyone else reading this) what ".5" volumes you have read that really added to your enjoyment of the main story and why? Alternatively, have you read a ".5" volume that should be avoided?

I'm not sure whether this is a right subreddit to ask this question, so I apologise if it's not.
We have a problem with a small bird (not sure what kind, but sparrow sized) landing on our window ledge and tapping on the bottom of our bedroom window. We've lived in the house for 20 years now and this is the first year that we've experienced anything like this. I am interested to know what is the cause of this behaviour, and any advice on what to do about it (because we're worried about the bird getting in the house when the weather gets hotter and we have to open the bedroom window).
Having just finished reading Even If This Love Disappears Tonight, I would like to know what is the saddest light novel that you've read. It can sad for any reason, and it doesn't matter whether this happens at the start, middle, or end of the novel.
After reading and really enjoying Yashiro-kun's Guide to Going Solo, I was wondering if the follow up novel Yashiro-kun's Guide to Going Solo: After Story is up to the same standard as the original book.
What is the best standalone light novel (ie, one that's not part of a series) that you've read, regardless of its genre? Maximum of three suggestions please.
For what it's worth, my list would be:
- Wait For Me Yesterday in Spring
- I Had That Same Dream Again
- Three Day of Happiness
Ascendance of a Bookworm seems to get a lot of love and the premise sounds interesting. However I'm daunted by the number of volumes and I seem to remember reading that the story really takes off in part 3. So my question is: Is it worth spending my (limited!) reading time starting at volume 1, or could I start at part 3 if I wanted?
Two books that I really can't wait to read arrived from Blackwell's today 😄

Having just finished and enjoyed Wait for Me Yesterday in Spring, I was wondering if anyone could recommend any other light novels that involve time travel or time loops. The other two novels that I’ve already read that fall into this category are:
- Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai vol 2
- The Empty Box and Zeroth Maria vol 1
Thanks for any suggestions!
