Welp, Harris was just hired as the Titans defensive pass game coordinator/cornerbacks coach. So we clearly have made a not-yet-public hiring decision and it isn't him.

Kris Kocurek is also staying with the 49ers.
They had a zoom interview with Marquand Manuel today so it seems like he might be the favorite for the job.

I remember when we had A.J. Bouye the off season he went and trained with Chris Harris he came back and had a monster year for us. I bet he'd be a great guy to get him and Meco would be a good combo.

Harris was one of Anthony Lynn's assistants during his head coaching time at the Chargers. That's the connection. Then moved to the Commanders after Lynn was fired.
And looks like we are also looking at Marquand Manuel from the Jets.
