The next few days are going to be filled with trades, trade rumors, and trade ideas from fans. Let's try to corral that just a little. Post your trade ideas or opinions here.

For the record, all signs point to the Texans having a quiet trade deadline. But that doesn't mean some interesting trade options aren't out there. I'll start with two:

  1. Derek Stingley for Chase Young straight up. Both high picks with an injury bug. Young seems to have emerged from his; Stingley hasn't yet but has two more years of rookie deal. Washington has a loaded line and a need in the secondary. We have a need on the line and have done fine the last few weeks. It makes weird sense.

  2. Case Keenum to Clevelan

Texans > Jags > Colts > Texans

Texans > Jags > Falcons > Texans

Texans > Steelers > Ravens > Texans

Not much to learn from that. Just insane that 5 weeks in, we are involved in three different W/L triangles

Stroud, Anderson, Scruggs, Dell, Horton, Patterson, and Hutchinson were all team captains last year. Only To'oTo'o and Hill were not.

So in case anyone has lingering questions of why we picked the guy we did instead of someone else on the board, there's the answer. We drafted for talent, but also to set a tone. Built a culture. We are a team of leaders.

By this point, we all know the vague target picks for day 1+2. QB, Center, WR and edge in some order with BPA after that. What are deviations from that conventional wisdom that, if it happened, would instantly make sense in your mind? Here’s mine:

Jahmyr Gibbs at 33. Especially if we draft Bryce Young, this would make a ton of sense to me, even though it’s crazy high for a RB considering our needs. Gibbs’ closest comp in the league is Christian McCaffrey in terms of style and measurables. That clearly works in a 49ers style offense. It also provides lightning to Pierce’s thunder. Add Singletary and our running back stable will be among the best in the league. Never tired and always fighting

5 possible ways to deal with Brandin Cooks

1. Sell him for picks. The last ditch option imo. His current value seems to be around a third plus a fourth. That just isn’t enough to replace what we lose by trading him. But it’s better than nothing so must be considered.

2. Extend him. Not all that likely, but maybe Cooks can repair all the bridges he burned at the end of the season- in house anyway. If that were the case, then extending him now lets us keep or trade him in the future while having him on hand short term to help develop our new QB.

3. Trade for Patrick Queen. The Ravens are likely to part with Patrick Queen. They already signed Roquan Smith to a $100 million dea

Blizzard traditionally has decent writing from a birds-eye outline level that falls apart in specific moments of execution. I think this is what the war of thorns is, and I think the chess pieces are in place to predict the next few moves. Sylvanas is indeed looking like Garrosh 2.0. So much so, that in the next patch or so, it will draw Thrall out of the woodwork to either help depose her or at least meet with other horde leaders to resolve the situation. In fact, it is one of the only scenarios where he would be willing to come back and would be a major character in the plot again. At that point, only after Kul Tirans are officially part of the alliance (so a full patch from now at least w
