Is it blowing cold air?
Only when I’m on the highway. When I’m parked or stopped at a red light, it starts to blow warm air.
Sounds like you need a new A/C compressor. Depending on the car, you may be able to replace just the clutch, but most likely…you’ll need a new compressor. Noise goes away once the AC button is turns off, correct?
Yeah it goes away. However if the car is on the highway, then it also goes away. It only makes the noise when I’m parked or stopped at a red light which is odd.
The only option you have would be to remove the clutch and clean the rust between the clutch. But that isn’t guaranteed to work
