Hey everyone, I am graduated from UNT last year and I've wanted to pursue a career in the legal field. I'm wary of becoming a lawyer due to the large amounts of debt from law school and the lack of work-life balance, so I'm looking into the Masters of Legal Studies program that is concurrent with the paralegal certification. I know they also offer an ADR cert as well which is very intriguing to me. The curriculum and classes seem really interesting and I think it would be a good way to get into the legal industry without having to be a lawyer. I would also like to live in the Austin-San Marcos area so the location is also perfect.

So I initially filled out the summer interest form and I was going to take 9 hours for the summer, but then I got my FAFSA offer and it isn't enough to cover all 9 hours but it is enough for 6 hours. I was wondering what would happen if I only took 6 hours instead. Would they reduce my Financial Aid? I got offered the pell grant and the UNT tuition grant as well as the parent loans but my parents don't qualify for that so I was hoping that Financial Aid just takes away the loans if I do 6 hours. So I was driving the other day on the highway and I saw my temperature gauge go up and so I turn the AC off and it settles back to normal. It’s weird though because I can have the AC on while my car is parked and the engine doesn’t overheat. I checked my coolant and it was fine. I had an accident last year and I had to replace the radiator so it might be this radiator but Im not too sure. I drive a 2019 Kia Optima EX if you’re wondering. 55000 miles. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Does UNT have university wide commencement? I know some colleges like UT do so if we don’t is there any reason why? Just curious.

I just wanted to ask what’s the better shift for the Amazon Air Associate job position. The first one is Fri-Mon 4:30AM-3PM which isn’t bad and it’s a little early but it pays more. While the other one only pays $16.10 but it’s Wed-Sat 3:30PM-2:00AM. I’m wondering what position I’ll have depending on what shift I choose and if anyone else has the same schedule and I want to know if they like it. Thanks!

Has anyone here taken PSCI 3160 Mass Media in American Politics class? I need to fulfill a distribution credit for my degree and this class does that and seems pretty interesting. I’m curious to hear what people who took it thought about it and if it’s a difficult class. Eshabaugh-Soha is the professor for the course in the fall if that helps. Thanks!

Hey everyone! I’m wondering what’s a good place to get a haircut around here that is good for men with long hair. I’ve been growing it out for awhile, and it’s almost shoulder length. I’m tired of it and want it at a short-mediumish length but I don’t want a fade or anything. I would appreciate some recommendations!

I just turned 21 last month and I want to go drink at some bars on Fry, but I don’t have anyone to go with. I’d like to meet people and drink with them, so I’m wondering which bars would be best for that.

So I’m currently enrolled in my classes for the spring semester but it says that there’s a transcript block-overdue balance on my account. I owe like $700 due to the dining pass. I was planning on using the financial aid I would receive for next semester to pay that balance off. Can I do that or do I need to pay that balance before the semester starts? I don’t want to be dropped from my classes due to this.
