random proxy per browser tab or container

Question

Is there a way to use a different proxy/VPN exit node for each tab or container?

More and more VPN providers have browser extensions to easily switching proxy while browsing. Some (I'm following the rules by not naming) allow assigning a specific proxy to a Firefox container.

I'd like to automate this switching by having a different, random proxy per browser tab, or browser container.

Does it exist?

Depending on your browser, it's already done for you.

Each instance of connection (tab) that you open is already contained. There is no need for a seperate proxy unless your intent is to try to hide your connections from your ISP.

I'd like to make it more difficult for websites to track me. They can track me in all sorts of ways, one of which is the IP address I'm connecting from. Even when using a VPN, this IP address is the same for a long period of time. I'd like this to change constantly. Reconnecting to a different VPN server each time is cumbersome. Many VPN providers have made this easier by having a browser extension allowing to switch proxy manually (in addition to, or instead of, a VPN). I'd like to go one step further by having something (browser, extension, ...) automatically choose a random proxy every time I open a new tab or container.

Yes, there are ways of doing it if you have a VPN that does a more application-based networking approach.

Can you elaborate? Suppose I have a list of proxy servers, how would I make it so my browser uses a random proxy server every time I open a new tab or container?

You can use plugins like sessionbox or go all out and pay for Insomniac browser, what's your price range?

Browserjet has built in proxies for every new tab. They want $150 a month. Cheaper than buying proxies separately.
