2011 Aveo Alarm Keeps Going Off
We live somewhere that's very, very windy and when the wind is blowing, the alarm goes off almost continuously. It doesn't matter if the doors are locked or unlocked, every couple of minutes, we have to use the key fob to shut off the alarm and it goes off all night long.
How do you just turn it off? It makes no sense not to have a way to deactivate it temporarily.

On my Aveo 2008 it was the bonnet contact that was not working properly. I fixed it by soldering the wires. Until you find the source of your problems you could try these things:
- lock the doors using the key and not the remote control
- remove the alarm module that's under the steering wheel, it looks like this
