A question for the guys please? I don't understand this behavior, it seems toxic?

NSFW

Ok, so, I got out of a 20 yr traditional m2f marriage .

I'm 40f. I got snatched up with my second boyfriend when I was 20. He was 35. Stayed 100 % loyal to him even though....😒. Anyways, I'm very new to the dating scene.

I'm only looking for casual, no way I'm getting married again! I have become very independent.

So, I had a guy, 24, tell me nonchalantly but with a small hint of insistence that I hear this story, about a interaction that happened where a girl at a coffee shop flirted with him. And a cpl more similar stories.

And from what I have read in the past, younger men play games?

Also, is it normal for men to say I love you, joke about being a wifey, say extremely amorous things on the 1st or 2nd night?

Or is it all a extremely manipulative game?

It doesn't seem real at all. It HAS to be a common occurrence.

It’s a manipulation game. That younger fella is telling you what HE thinks YOU wanna hear in exchange for feeling safe and secure.

Manipulation games can’t be categorized by age imo since it’s something I believe is engrained into someone’s character.

If NSA is what suits your needs just be direct about it. He may change his tone and stop putting up a front for the puss.

See I kinda figured . I absolutely make it clear from the beginning that Im basically using them for occasional sex. Im trying to get my first investment property going so I can buildmy nest egg. I RARELY spend the night either

This is all said and done AFTER sex.

It's good to know how NOT to fall into narcissist drama again.

Catch it early, nip it in the bud.

If you’re targeting a certain age demographic to fulfill your intimacy needs, and seeing a pattern in results after you let them in you could also just chalk it up to the emotional maturity of these males.

Lol that's probably it. Don't know how to regulate/process emotions correctly.

Their lack of confidence or experience might make them play those games for sure.

They wanna look more interesting, more desirable or whatever.

"I'm 40f."

"So, I had a guy, 24..."

"And from what I have read in the past, younger men play games?"

".. is it normal for men to say I love you, joke about being a wifey, say extremely amorous things on the 1st or 2nd night?"

Most likely he's immature and doesn't know how to date/seduce someone beyond his years.

There are some men who do "love bomb" women with the goal of scamming them financially.

People who are emotionally invested in someone tend to be loose with their purse strings.

If you just want to keep things casual and occasionally have sex continue to meet and date other people. Behaving as if you're in an exclusive relationship can be risky emotionally.

Best wishes!

It’s extremely creepy that a guy says I love you like that , like extremely creepy but it’s not being used accept that he’s going to get you with it , it’s a very conniving manipulation tactic that is used cause they think girls honestly think you can love someone immediately and if they tell you that they think you’ll think they love you and a lot of girls think that it’s true love 😅😅
