Cheap dentist reccomendation

no politics

SYDNEY - Does anyone know of a dentist that will bill major dental work (such as a crown) as minor through healthcare? 12 months is a ridiculous time to wait for a service I pay for.

Or just a recommendation on a dentist that won't charge through the roof.

TIA

You are selecting a dentist based on their propensity to commit fraud rather than being good with teeth?

Okay...

Billing major dental as minor is not possible as the item numbers are heavily regulated.

I went to a very cheap dentist around 10 years ago. He did a root canal and left a piece of drill in the tooth. I had to have it redone a few years later by someone else

Another to fall under the rule of 'buy cheap buy twice'

I've heard years ago that you can volunteer to be a patient for the school of dentistry at one of the universities. You might get a student working on you, or it might be the professor.

You have to pay, but it is much cheaper. The work is done by the student, but all procedures are monitored by the professors.

I think it is a great deal. You get to help a young person on their career, get an awesome deal, and if there is something that is out of the ordinary, you have one of Australia's premier experts step in and help out.

The added bonus is sometimes they perform additional tasks for free because the students need to complete them to fulfill their academic requirements.

I got some fillings done at a uni dentist and they are fantastic. One student stuffed up (very minorly) the local anaesthetic into my gum and the professor stepped in to do it again. while I'm usually scared of needles they made it a good experience. That was the only time the professor stepped in. It can take ages as there are multiple students doing work and they need to wait to get it signed off at different stages but it was totally worth it. $60 or so each filling. The students were so lovely, everyone was. I rave about this option any chance I get ๐Ÿฅฐ

Trip to Thailand might be more realistic vs getting a dentist to comment fraud.

Good luck. The ADA is not keen on encouraging that sort of service.

Someone I know recently travelled to India and had a dental operation for $1200 that would have cost $20,000 plus. They're usually walk in too

In the past I've gone to Thailand.

But I think that Cambodia is now better value. Have been a few times and have absolutely no complaints. What you save on the bill will pay for your holiday. See Roomchang Dental Hospital.

Philippines Dental ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚. Wouldn't get an Aussie dentist to go near my teeth for anything major. They'll damage, then charge me to fix their own stuff ups blaiming as "oh, i found this problem". No thanks!
