Broadway at Stinson

For over a year now, I've been buying gas at the Costco Business Center. Every time, when I'm driving west on Broadway...and just before Stinson, my Android Auto connection disconnects. Every time...in the same place.

Does anybody know why?

Well...that's one theory!

If you are using Bluetooth then it is likely some radio interference. This can come from microwave ovens (unlikely), RF security cameras, satellite equipment, large industrial equipment, motors or any other electrically noisy device that bleeds radio static into the Bluetooth frequencies. If you are using a USB connection then it may not apply.

Monarch school bus garage is a few blocks from there, it’s possibly their radio system causing it.

No...it's Bluetooth. Thanks for the info.

Uhhh Bluetooth is low power 2.4ghz RF.

Same thing, same spot, but I have an iPhone.

Maybe your mobile device loses its data connection there? Could be a dead zone for your communications provider.

Android Auto will work even without data. My phone loses GPS signal at that intersection as well.

My wireless CarPlay disconnects every time I drive by the downtown police station. I’m guessing their radios interfere. Must be something similar there.

It's because of Honeywell, which is right across the freeway from there. They're a major defense contractor. They're jamming your phone so you can't Tik-Tok their secret sauces directly to China.

That's my tinhat conspiracy theory anyway. Or make up your own, it's just as valid.

This just might be it! Thx for the suggestion.

But it comes back as you drive closer to Honeywell, no? It does for me.

Someone has a jammer at that location of some kind I think

Dude same thing happens in my car.

"GPS signal lost".

I'm convinced someone at that corner has a jammer of some kind.
