Is it ever Clearly Stated in the books?
I always felt like Goblin and One-Eye were eye to eye relatively in terms of height, both pretty short, but I feel like every time I see artistic depictions of them Goblin is as tall as he is wide and One-Eye is an average height.
Did my Imagination just assume that One-Eye was also short? Is he as tall as anyone else? Or is he short like Goblin?

Hanged man was tall... I think Harden was big too... But all three of those Taken characters never took center stage, they were always working for smaller more ambitious players namely Lady or when HM bit it... Storm Bringer
All of Glens world enders are short midget types. He really likes playing with Napoleon style Tyrants.

Shifter was the "largest" bad ass besides maybe BoneGnasher... and he wasn't even that interested in being in charge of other people. You notice with Glen the larger the characters physical size the calmer and less ambitious they are.
The Hanged Man, gets out played early, Bone Gnasher is fed to the carnage at Charm, Harden gets deaded fast... Most of the Larger guys aren't even magical...
Raven wasn't a big dude might have been tall... Silent was tall and relatively low powered...
Croaker was no giant... The Captain was wide but not tall... Glen doesn't really do Giants.
Glen Cook was assigned to Force Recon Marines... Swift Silent Deadly. Those guys aren't huge... They're by nature smaller guys who can get in and get out quietly without a lot of fuss. His superiors were probably normal sized humans too. Big guys make big targets.
So like the Marines... he ate shit and bitched. Usually about small people more powerful than himself... Sound like Croaker?
Glen wrote what he knew, in a way he could imagine. Small people, big power.
I'd like to point out that even though Croaker is no 'giant', he's still 6'4 according to Dreams of Steel. Presumably Shifter and Bonegnasher tower over him, and I've always imagined the Dominator to be tall, too, even if there is little evidence for that.
The real question is... how tall's the Limper? He's always described as short, though I suppose lots of people would be short by Croaker's standards.
Fair, he was a lot closer to giant than most of the big bads lol :D
My father in law is 6'5" and he towers over most humans...
I always thought of Limper as 5'6"ish. He could be 5'8"~?
Limper always seemed styled directly off Napoleon, even down to his method of fighting... Big masses of infantry and combined mass of fire power... Very Napoleonic. Why be subtle when we can blow them up and crush them with the bayonet charge.
How tall is Glen? That'd help us define what his version of short would be.

I always got the impression that they're around the same height but Goblin is slightly taller, both just under/over 5"
The main difference being Gmoney is wide and doughy whereas One Eye is thin and wiry
It is stated that he is shorter than Goblin, and elsewhere that goblin is 5 feet tall so that means One-Eye is less than 5 feet.
Lol then I wonder why everyone draws One-Eye like twice as tall as goblin.
Cause he's a wizard, and everybody tend to picture wizards tall (like Gandalf).
But to me One-Eye is more like voodoo doctor, not classic wizard. Small, wrinkly and old as death itself, of course.

Yeah, but he's actually known for being short (and his frog-like smile). One-Eye is mostly known for being black and old (and his hat).

Any idea where it's stated? I could've sworn One-Eye is described as tall, but I also can't point to any passage that says that and I suspect Flying_Mage is right about the Gandalf effect. But I'm surprised that I apparently don't remember reading that One-Eye is short.

So it's understandable to develop the "Gandalf-effect" since the information comes relatively late in the series. I don't recall it being mentioned prior to that (though I could be mistaken).
And for the record, regarding Goblin, it was some books earlier, from Croaker in Chapter 28 of Shadows Linger:

Various other places where One-Eye is referred to as 'little-runt', 'tiny' and similiar. Memory really wants to say when discussing his personal poison stills. ;)
