Did you pre-poll? I went to our local polling station on the day and it was all paper-based, I didn't know we were using electronic too.

Shame they never stated their policies, I would have voted for a viable alternative to the current government.

Actually they had a 5 point plan for the economy and I'm quite happy with the results, we scored a few extra seats any swing I'm happy.

I'm sure they had a plan (I actually got a brochure the day before the election), but all I heard for weeks was the triple your rates bullshit. Sloganism before policy doesn't endear them to me. Shame because there are plenty of things Labor have done wrong in 11 years, a campaign based on pointing out those facts and presenting superior policies would probably have convinced me.
Will be interesting to see how the vote pans out, ABC is saying 8 Libs, 7 Labor, 1 Green, 1 undecided. I would say Gallagher's going to be returned as CM though at this stage, the Libs just don't have common ground with the Greens to form minority govt so they would need that last seat.

I think Gallagher will be cm. it was a very tall order to think we'd win outright but I'm still happy. I feel you should not wait to hear their campaigns get involved and hear the policies that define the parties. I definitely agree of the mistakes over the last 11 years

So latest prediction is saying Labor might finish with 8 seats at the expense of the Greens in Ginninderra.
So possibly a wing toward Labor and an extra seat..
Great result for a 4 term government.

i can't believe that was their WHOLE campaign, i did not receive one letter or see one ad that was doing anything other than attacking labour with that 'tripled rates' business...
