WGSIB: the "fake" mobile games
Hello, might be a bit of an odd question, but you know all those gazillion fake game ads where you mow down hordes of zombies and pick up upgrades and stuff, are there any of those for real, particularly on console (PS5 or switch)? Looks like a pretty relaxing way to kill half an hour. However, every single one of those games that I have looked up doesn't have gameplay remotely related to what they show in the trailers. It always turns out it's just a copy and paste of the paytowin base builders.

Vampire Survivors is the king of that genre in my opinion
Out of all the suggestions in the thread that most closely matches what I'm looking for. Basically top down isometric game getting swarmed by enemies from all directions where you just mow em down. I have a bit of a hard time with pixel style graphics usually. A lot of these fake game ads use movie clips which looks pretty good. One example is some soldiers on a highway bridge and you can move through gates that either power you up (but also down, so you gotta think about what you pick up). Problem is it's hard to post an actual example because when you google the name of the game and gameplay footage you get footage of some paytowin basebuilder game and not the footage from the actual gameplay loop they're advertising on Reddit.
First time playing it didn’t click with me, second time (and understanding how powers worked) it clicked with me. Very fun time sink.
I know OP specified consoles, but I'd keep an eye out on Soulstone Survivors as well. I checked it out during last fall's next fest and it brings a nice spin on the genre (kind of bridges the gap between Vampire Surivors and Diablo).
