Device unavailable as action for Away routine
I've just bought a vacuum robot that is compatible with Google Home (Dreame D10).
I wish to set the robot to clean when I leave home. The Away routine would be perfect for this (if the geofencing worked, but that's another matter...). However the robot is not available as an action for the Away routine (other devices are available; the robot is available for other routines).
Any guess what could be wrong?

I use SmartThings geofencing that sometimes works better and a virtual switch (also created in SmartThings).
The magic here is the virtual switch, you can trigger routines with it and you can change the state in home/away routines too should you prefer to use Google Home presence sensing.
So, you go away, virtual switch changes to on, then routine where robot starts is executed.
I use this method to activate sleep mode on my ezviz camera (which isn't even possible with Google Home, in this case the virtual switch triggers an IFTTT routine when home/away).
Thanks. I never tried Smartthings but I'll look into it. Does your setup work with geofencing multiple people or just one? (asking because it'd be perfect if it could trigger a routine when both my girlfriend and I are away, but not if just one leaves)
Although I use it with only one, it supports multiple users and conditions. Of course they all have to install the SmartThings app in that case.
The virtual switch trick is valid for Google Home too, just change its state on home/away routine.
Great, thank you!
