I'm highly optimistic also

Then we get to hear SOL, poverty franchise, sad sack team etc etc etc and it won't be any different than most years. Anyone who has been a fan more than ten minutes knows the drill. Hell in 2008 that last game was like being in the superbowl, that 16th loss was celebrated, would have been a bummer to go 1-15. lol. You find things to root for such as individual players. More importantly you find things to root against (FTP)

Most of us haven't been this optimistic for a very long time, but its still a cautious optimism. Being a Lions fan is not for the weak. Sure it's nice to win but if winning was what it was all about the only fans that would have shown up most years would be the players moms.

Tldr, be a bummer but "there's always next year"

Waittttt you wanted 0-16 vs 1-15?

Obviously things were just silly at that point. No fan wants them to actually lose of course, but we had a perfect season! Lol.

Not judging obvi it sucked but idk if I’ve ever wanted a win more so we wouldn’t be the first 0-16

I'll admit the copium may be stronger with me than with others and I'll always find some bright spot, even if it's in the form of a dubious distinction.

What I love best about this fan base is our resiliency!

Please let me have this. I’ve finally been getting decent sleep lately.

I thinkers that would be ok. Holmes has not done anything that compromises the future for this year. We’ll just keep plugging along, trying to improve every day, and try again next year

I agree.

Personally I’d chuckle if they got me again. Any true lions has to at least expect it a little. Many times has an optimistic rebuild crashed and burned.

I think it’s different this time and we finally have greatness ahead, but I have also thought that a couple times before.

We must win the division. If we don’t, the most likely scapegoat will be Goff fair or not.

There's really so many variables in the scenarios you've described to be for sure. If there's injuries to crucial players(Goff, St. Brown, Hutch, etc.) Then thats just the way it goes sometimes, and we get a high draft pick and move on to the next season and not much changes. If players don't improve much or regress that's on the coaches, and likely on Glenn, if the defense sucks and Hutch, Rodrigo, and others on the D-line don't improve or regress then Glenn's gone at some point in the season.

The only way I see Campbell gone after next season Is if the team is relatively healthy and they absolutely suck. Otherwise there will likely be enough benefit of the doubt for him to stay for one more season. Either way I think Holmes job is safe and he'd be able to bring in one more coach before he's on the chopping block.

With all that being said I'm going to refuse to think negatively about the Lions during the off-season like I have every year(besides Patricia's last) and drink the Kool aid

This was the inspiring answer I wanted to read.

This is more a question for the fan base because I know how this shit goes. We have said scenario and most of you will call for heads regardless of Lions Luck fucking us.
