The fandom's problem with obsessive shipping that leads people to take it too far and misinterpretations of ORV'S themes and messages.

When I read ORV, two years ago, it changed my life it was a great book that dealt with many topics, and the way they wrote it is perfect and makes you think about many things. So, I went and wanted to know what everyone thought, on the surface, the fandom was great, I loved all the fanart and the ships, but damn does it get obsessive, it's great that you love joongdok, sangsoo, or doksoo (just using the popular ones for an example.)

I'm gonna continue on the shipping between Yoo Joonghyuk and Kim Dokja, I see a lot of fanart making Kim dokja look and act quite weird, I think it's from the yaoi terms, uke and seme. I don't care about Kim dokja being a bottom, but does he have to look feminine and act all 'uwu' around Yoo Joonghyuk?

Next, 'Kim Dokja will be killed by the person he loves the most' or the dark castle arc, used to be the main reason for the ship.

Gosh, I hate this the most, the way shippers see the arc is "OMG ANOTHER REASON WHY BLAH BLAH"

I saw this on Twitter and I thought the same as this person, Dark castle's real/good interpretation.

The tweet talks about how people were ignorant and only saw what they wanted to see, rather than using their brains, everyone knows Kim Dokja loves Yoo Joonghyuk, how incarnations and constellations are kept alive because of stories, it's natural to love stories, and Kim Dokja loves WOS, reading this made me appreciation ORV even more. It's pretty easy to interpret it as Kim Dokja loving Yoo Joonghyuk, so I can see why.

It's great to sometimes analysis, but ORV is made to be interpreted differently, as of course, we are each made differently and we each think differently. But, I will still continue.

Next, the mishandling of different characters, especially outside the trio.

If I could say, I think Han Sooyoung is the second most important character of ORV, with Yoo Joonghyuk being third and Kim Dokja, obviously taking first. I won't get into it, this post says what I'm trying to get through, Post about Han Sooyoung being underrated

It talks about how Han Sooyoung died as many times as Kim Dokja did.

I don't like how everyone throws away, every other character, only talking about YooHanKim, those characters are just as important because they too changed Kim Dokja, without Jung Heewon or Lee Hyunsung (just naming a few), Kim Dokja wouldn't have gotten that far. GIVE SOME APPRECIATION TO ALL THE CHARACTERS!!!

For my last final topic, I will be highlighting all the obsessive shipping, like damn, yall got nothing else to talk about? Other than how Kim Dokja and Yoo Joonghyuk are suited for each other? BORING!

I hate how no one talks about so many theories about ORV, how the authors chapter by chapter made everything click in the end.

I also hate how so many shippers give us foreigners, bad light, for example spamming the author about joongdok, until they deactivated, disgusting.

In conclusions, all fandoms stink, but this one makes my blood boil. Other than that, it was just a rant and you ship who you want, love is love and HBD to Han Sooyoung, bye everyone!
