The camera/f8 button on my lenovo ideapad S145 is working a weird way, when i press it, instead of turning the camera on/off, it directs me to open camera privacy setting, really weird, it isnt doing its job but is asking me to manually go to camera privacy settings and asking me to turn it on/off.

I believe that feature was eliminated on many of the models. The physical camera switch is now the only camera switch. Probably because unlike software, it cannot be overriden remotely.

i went to the local guy and he said it cant be fixed cuz it comes coded from the company, and when you re install window or some kinda shock comes to your device , it gets a bit weird

Did you manage to solve the issue?

If you didn't or anyone reading this haven't yet, I fixed it by installing the Lenovo Utility UWP.

This one worked for me in W10, no idea if it works on 11.
