Recommended hardware for Topaz (non video)

So I’m due for a desktop upgrade and am looking to use Photo AI, Gigapixel AI, DeNoise AI, and Sharpen AI. What’s metrics/specs should I be looking for in a video? Is more video memory more desirable over a faster GPU? Any recommendations? Budget is flexible but preferably under 1k.

GPU recommendations depend on the power supply you have.
If we recommend a 300w card it might not boot up with a 600w or cheap 700w PSU.
What are the specs of the hardware you have or are interested in buying?

I’ll be piecing it together to replace my 10yo i7-3770. Replacement’s going to be either an i7 or i9, 13th gen, 32G. Carrying over the case, monitors, keyboard, mouse, Wacom unit. I’m used to using Intel reference motherboards for reliability but they’ve given way to NUCs. Likely carrying over the 4TB drive for storage and buying a 500M-1TB for OS. The PSU will be replaced but that decision is dependent partly on the graphics. All that’s easy, assuming the new video cards will fit in the old Antec 300. I’m looking to have this last 10 years or so, which is why I’m spendy on the CPU. I can run on discrete graphics for now if I get the i7 until I figure it out but I’d rather do it once and be done. I was originally thinking of the RTX4070Ti but not sure if the amount of memory was enough or if I would be better off with the Radeon 7900 XTX, which literally has double the memory. But I’m open to other ideas and not sure if even that would be overkill.

check puget system website. They've done benchmarks on topaz software on different cpu-gpu

Thanks, I’ve seen it. Unfortunately, it doesn’t have the newer released GPUs (unless I missed something)

Get the trial versions first. You may not be thrilled with the results.

I’m looking to digitize a lot of old family photos and batch process using Photo AI. TBH, it needs to be good enough for prosperity’s sake. Photo AI seems to fit the bill from what I’ve seen. GP, DeN, and Sh would be for my old jpgs of yesteryear I’d like to bring “up to date” where I’d likely spend more time on each image. Figuring the amount of photos I’ll be dealing with, it’s worth the investment for better hardware and since I’m building a new desktop anyway.

If you haven't used the trial versions, you haven't seen the reality yet.
