Woah just from a team fit standpoint this kid SCREAMS leader. It’s funny how people are saying Dean and Davis will keep Carter in line but it seems like this kid is the closest with him. Absolutely ecstatic about this pick.

Smith was absolutely the leader of this years team even when injured

I was just blown away by the maturity and intelligence of this kid. His answers really made me feel better about the Carter pick also as he understands the situation much better than I would. I think the thing I most excited about though is the way he talks about his Georgia teammates on the Eagles.. a lot of jokes about how were the Georgia Eagles but an underrated aspect of that is these guys are coming in with really solid chemistry already. It's post draft day hype for sure, but this could be a really special group

It's a franchise altering defensive core. We are about to enter a golden age unlike anything we've seen
32
This gave me goosebumps. I’m here for it.
9
aint even gunna lie, i was ready to trade for quay and trayvon the way he was talking about their chemistry. bring em all here
8
His energy is off the charts. A passionate unifier. So excited for this season.

He’s wiser than many men twice his age. I’m blown away by this interview.
7
I am more than 10 years older than this kid and after this interview I look up to him as a father figure in my life.

Brother

First off, those glasses are not for show. Von Miller on notice.
Second, this kid is everything. He's so thoughtful and earnest and passionate. And he's awesome on the mic. Our very own Swag Kazekage, leader of the hidden village of the nest.

We need to get my man a lasik sponsorship
7
No man those specs go hard.
5
He's got that Dawkins energy.
29
I thought the same thing. I think he is going to be fierce on the field and in the locker room. I am so hyped for our Georgia core. If it dominated the SEC it will work in the NFL.
11
We got the new Cox and BG
10
This kid is so impressive. Great addition to our D. So excited to see the Philadelphia Bulldogs!! Thanks for sharing!

Goddamn. At 2:40 the way he says, "I just answered that question", the reporter apologizes, and he says "no, your ok" and then his response? Ohh baby. Chills.

Very composed and well mannered kid. Warrior on the field and warrior in his head. You can feel the leader vibes coming from him, it just feels natural. Our locker room is fueled by character guys, it must be an amazing feeling for a guy like Carter to come into a place like here, especially surrounded by his dawgs. This interview made me as excited for this guy as the Carter pick. He just wants to be the best player possible
19
Holy shit, how does this type of young man fall that far in the draft? The maturity and dedication in Smith is beyond what you want in your locker room.
16
Can it be September yet? sheesh
15
Amen.
I said almost this exact same thing after the Carter pick. Double down on this pick. 🤞 twice more today🤞
9
Sheesh?

nothing negative. pure excitement
6
This is exactly what i wanted
Eagles had a great culture, Hurts made it even better, guys like Smith who are cut from the same cloth will only make it better
14
Reminds me of BG - another great leader!
13
Is it possible to be more hype this year then last? This team gonna eat!!!
10
He's BG
10
FR! I was think BG and Bdawk as far as energy
6
Bro got goosebumps when he said "I look over to my left, nod my head ..." That tells you something.
9
Holy shit that’s a man right there. Beyond excited to see how all these guys pan out.
9
Is this a Tyrese Maxey moment? How did he fall to 30? This interview was so good.
8
Great interview aside...as a fellow sightly-challenged individual it's nice to see a player out here proudly wearing their glasses at all times lol.
7
🥲 what an insanely good pick and ecstatic he's a bird now

This interview got me hype first thing in in the morning.
On our already stacked team, the pick was worth it just for his attitude, and intelligence alone. I could see this guy being a coach.
