Really the only explanation. They’re jealous of his career. They’re jealous of his success. Imagine being a team that’s meddled in mediocrity and pure embarrassment for as long as they have.

They look at Doughty, with his 2 cups, his Olympic gold, and actually bringing his city CUPS. He’s a WINNER. These teams have felt humiliation and pain for so long, they see an actual winner who also gets under their skin easy, of course he’s going to drive them crazy.

Russell Morgan posted that video of Drew ripping on Kaprizovs contract earlier. It’s great when Mild fans get all bitchy about that quote. Let’s compare Kaprizovs and Doughtys first 3 post season runs. Doughty: .8 points per games played and a Stanley cup. Kaprizov: .6 points per games played and can’t even sniff the second round.

I think it has more to do with the fact that Drew talks so much shit he's basically a manure factory when he's on the ice. Every team has winners and success stories on it, but not every team has a "Buddy, you suck at hockey" or "You've been in the NHL for how long and you're still on the 4th line?" generator laying down major hip checks on them.

Last 2 Games he's played he's been absolute shit.. Go look at the 4 goals he gave up in game 4. Almost never aggressive, just coasts along. We need more d guys like Mikey. Not deserving of most ice time on the team. Yeah he got two cups in his youth, but that was 8-9 years ago. What has he done since? Ship him off like quick and get something out of it before he really shits the bed next year.
