Trying to Copy the sum of data going down a column on one sheet, across a row on another.
So J25 down has the monthly calculation of my home equity.
I want that total to go across row 69 on my main sheet on the same workbook.
i tried using
='Wendy Loan'!$J25
but when i try to copy across to go to J26 then 27 and so on it doesn't. It just sticks to J25
I attempted researching more complicated ways to do this and i got the same results.
=INDIRECT("'Wendy Loan'!$J"&ROW()-44)
=OFFSET('Wendy Loan'!$J$25,COLUMN()-COLUMN('Wendy Loan'!$J$25),0
Still I can't get it to copy across row 69 while changing the data to the next row on column J.
EDIT: Someone made a comment with the solution but deleted it.
The solution worked for me.
INstruction was to trick excel by typing rtJ25 and coping it across. It copied correctly counting J26,27,.... then all i had to do was replace rt with my formula by CTRL+H replace: rtJ with:='Wendy Loan'!$
and it worked over 100+ cells. THanks again!
