Is there a legit plat walkthrough / guide?

I'm trying to find one, I really am. The only guides I've found assume that I intend on duping items. I've Googled, I've searched reddit, and while there's plenty of scattered advice, is there a legit plat guide anywhere to be found? HALP! Thanks, in advance? :)

EpicNameBro is doing Demon Days where he plays through Demon's Souls again. Here is part 1. From the couple I have seen he doesn't dupe items and even shows you where some hidden or hard to get treasures are. He does go off sometimes to get weapons from other areas and talks about the lore quite often and he hasn't finished yet but if you need some help in the beginning areas this is great.

Thanks for this, I appreciate the info. I've actually been watching it, we happened to decide to play through it again at the same time, conveniently enough.

Well if you don't want to dupe items, then prepare for a NG+2 game.

Yeah, I planning on giving it a go, anyway. Maybe it'll crush my will, but I won't know 'till then... ;D

naw, after NG it's not different..8% increase after the big jump doesn't feel that big of a deal once you're geared. I did it at SL 140ish and walked through it.

Yeah, that one assumes you'll be duping items. ;/

oh.. my bad, never even bothered with plat trophies not really my cup of tea. But I suppose you could use the guide and just have additional playthroughs or farming... right?

Mostly, but some things need to be carefully planned out. Certain things will be different between needing to do one and half, vs. three and a half playthroughs. Especially with the world tendency stuff, I'm really trying to avoid playing through three times, only to realize that something works differently than I thought, and learn that I've screwed myself utterly. ;)

Well you're bad at what you do. So no surprise here.

you're just mad because I gave you such sloppy sex last night.

just look at the guide for demons weapons, calculate the easiest way to get it. requires NG2/3 if I remember, you need four of a couple demon's souls so it's NG2 easily. Just sit down, quantify it and make a spread sheet to see what you need to have.

Yup, s'what I'm doing, guess I'm just surprised that there's no ready-bake checklist for non-dupers. Eh, I'll figure it out. :)

Just noticed this is an old topic, answering anyway with my experience of doing this the hard way in case it helps.

You'll want this: http://demonssouls.wikidot.com/stone-farming

As far as world and character stuff goes, you can probably do most white world events on a first play, and get your char to pure white by killing all the black world phantoms if you collect enough stones to get PBWT afterwards (you can also suicide in worlds where you've already done the WT stuff if you plan it). If you don't manage to get them all on the first play, you'll definitely get them on NG+. Killing all the BP's will get a lot of the unique weapons too. I presume you've seen the weapons page here: http://demonssouls.wikidot.com/trophy-weapons

If you manage to kill all the PBWT BP's then your CT should be PW so you can get the Friend's ring, you can then kill all the merchants (and the crestfallen knight - don't talk to him so he'll still be in he nexus at the end) to get to PBCT to meet Mephistopheles and get her ring. You can do all this after killing Allant too so you just have to talk to the maiden afterwards to get to the next game. Once you have the Foe's ring, and have rescued Ostrava enough times for the key, you can go and kill Dorant for his ring and that should be all the rings.

Remember you need to get to NG+++ anyway to get the pure soul and the monk's soul for the last magics so don't sweat it too much, you can always retry a world you messed up previously. In fact, fights like BP Selen is much easier in NG+ when you can just sneak up on her with Soulsucker (not that I would condone such a cowardly practise ;-) )

I'd also recommend that you use the pure and monk souls to get Yuria's last spells in NG++, then you don't need to rescue her in NG+++, you just need Freke. I made that mistake and had to kill tower knight and do most of 1-3 again.

Thanks for the response! Yeah I did my best to figure out what would change with the platinum guide if I didn't dupe things and planned things out. I'm juuuust about done with my NG+ run, basically losing my mind farming for cloudstone chunks, other than that I've got all the stones I need (got extraordinarily lucky on the pure bladestone). Getting there...
