Finished my first onebro tonight, no summons. Got through Artorias, but ran out of time for Manus or Kalameet. C'est la vie! Just wanted to tell someone, and the Internet's a good listener! ;D
I think that about covers it. Go team!
It's Homo Comestores!
I tire of your faces
So show me where the door is
I'll go some other places
Killed nearly every demon
In 'bout all the other lands
And when we fight I cream 'em
But you're messing with my plans
NG+++ was swell
With everything upgraded
Other beasts hear my death knell
My triumph you've evaded
My illusions you dispell
My spirit unplacated
Desires desecrated
My prowess overstated
No arrows through your fog gate
So I'm inching toward my rum
Waxing dimly at dark fate
Never get that damn platinum
I just needed a small break, so I did this. It's not supposed to be good, it just happened. OK, cover me, I'm going back in...
**Upd
So I played DeS once before, skipped OKD (was just kind of stumbling through the game). This time I've got platinum in my sights though, so him 'n me, we just spent many hours getting to know each other. Granted, this was just NG, and I assume that like the Four Kings in DaS, things probably change in further iterations, but in NG, OKD definitely gave me more trouble than anything / anyone else. Is this normal, or am I special-like?
Long ago, in the before time, I remember someone in this very subreddit * flashlight face * proposing that the lights in the "sky" of Ash Lake might correspond (geographically) with the various bonfires. I've kind of mentally decided to go with that, since then, because I love the idea. I suppose it's probably not the case though, if I'm being honest. OK so did we ever come to a group decision on this? I WANT TO BELIEVE!
I'm trying to find one, I really am. The only guides I've found assume that I intend on duping items. I've Googled, I've searched reddit, and while there's plenty of scattered advice, is there a legit plat guide anywhere to be found? HALP! Thanks, in advance? :)
I have a feeling that I'm going to feel really, really dumb. ;)
-EDIT for clarification, since apparently I'm not the only oblivious one: If you look at your inventory screens (rings, weapons, etc), you can click on an item, and then select "change order" rather then say, "use item."
So, and let me know if I'm LTtP on this, it seems to me that attacking Gwynevere first is the less optimal choice if you're going to kill Gwyndolin. I couldn't find it in the wikis (maybe I just fail at search), but personal experience shows that if you go the dissipate Gwynevere first route, you'll have to make the Painting Room rafters run to get back to Gwyndolin after every time he kills you (which, sure, doesn't matter if you kill him on the first go).
If you walk through his fog gate instead, AL stays in daylight, and you respawn just outside his room each time. Then you can kill the Lady of the Darkling (the firekeeper), and dissipate Gwynevere afterwards (which will bring on the
