Price drop on 4080 - opinions

Discussion

Noticed the Founder’s Edition on Amazon is currently at $1000 and it’s got me thinking: At what price do you guys think the 4080 is worth it, generally? Not looking for specifics, but at what price point would it be for y’all to consider it?

Edit: Amazon seller apparently also sells essential oils. No doubt a scam.

Dude. There isn't a price drop on that 4080 Fe. That's somebody trying to lift $1000 from you. Did t you check the seller's Amazon rating? 2.6.

Yeah, started looking into it after I posted. Still curious about other peoples opinions on nVidia’s pricing structure though.

NV pricing structure is terrible. The 4090 is $1600 and people only give it a pass because it's a halo product. AMD's isn't much better but the 6950xt is best bang for the buck GPU right now. If considering the 7900xt/xtx one must also consider 4070ti/80 because NV "extra" features actually matter a little more and may be worth the extra money if pure rasterization isn't enough to sway.

$700 is about as high as I'd be willing to go for any GPU. Even then, I'd have to really think about it.

I've always been more of a mid-range consumer, as that's usually where you find the best bang for your buck. Plus, mid-range fits my needs; I'm just gaming, I'm not playing at 4K, and I don't need 200fps at max settings.

$800 max. I wouldn't touch it unless it was that price.
