my baby is dying
so after owning this car buying a brand new in 2005 the brakes or the axle I don’t know exactly what was wrong with it but they are all broken and I’ve put a lot of money into this car I had to replace the hood and front bumper because of an accident but the tires are original forerunner tires and other than a few dents and scratches it works pretty well. My brakes are feeling really shaky the other day and they have been for a month or so I got an estimate to fix the car and it was $6000 is nowhere near white I thought it would be but the car is not even worth that much not even close. So I’m on here now to see if I should sell it for parts or do you think somebody would be willing to buy it for 5000 and pay to fix every issue wrong because it it would be a hell of a lot cheaper than buying a new one. I have a 2006 forerunner SR5 no four-wheel-drive and there’s a car radio installed with CarPlay but I may replace it with the original radio or depending on what people think i should do. trevor who actually read this and give me advice thank you very much you can see in my car I’ve posted it on the sub b4
sorry for the spelling errors Siri seems to hate the way I talk

What were the line items?
Like, get detailed and specific here. Who did you go to? What did they tell you was wrong, and what did they say each item would cost to replace?
This. Details are vague, and $6k for brake parts sounds excessive, even if you’re replacing all 4 rotors, calipers, and pads.
I just replaced my rotors and my brake cards within the last year so it definitely wasn’t bad I’ll have to find a picture of the estimate but I did not go to a Toyota dealership I knew they would overcharge
basically the front axle is bent or something like that I’m not exactly sure but the mechanics willing to negotiate and we have been going to them for years they know our name it’s a small family owned mechanic and they don’t charge much at all for things usually so if it’s this much I know it’s probably pretty bad. but on the title the car is not worth $5000-$6000. I also just got diagnosed with epilepsy so they want me to have a safer car collision control in lane alerts stuff like that.
