Konami said "just go second" but let you use cards that skip turns... now I wish I had made an Arcana Force Turbo deck for the event... ZA WARUDO

I remember making one of those for the DS games. Inconsistent as hell, but when it pops off, it feels cool yelling "Za Warudo!" each time you use The World's effect

I mean, isn’t hand traps going second staples? In this event my going second deck has 36 hand traps. And I win 2 games when going second. What I need is stop everything they do and drop a 2450 monster to hit 4 times.

Well from my experience most people are just running board breakers in their going second deck like Evenly, DRNM, Lightning Storm, Kaijus and Golems, stuff like that. But this deck just ignores every single one of those cards. I had one guy who's only hand trap was Maxx C and the rest was kaiju's and Evenlys. Drew half their deck and still couldn't do anything because of the turn skip.

This deck is disgusting even though I am "missing" cards. I pulled off turn skip every time I went first. The missing cards are 2 more diviner, and I would replace Ash with Upstarts for even more consistency, but really just 2 Drytron names = Turn skip combo.

Oh, and if you somehow don't win because of like a Battle Fader or Numeron Wall, you can turn skip them again because you can make space for Knightmare Gryphon by removing going second cards like Zeus.

You also can't take the Maxx c challenge even if they don't play any other handtraps. I had a teralaments player draw half of their deck just to discard it during end phase and do full combo.

They're still extremely limited in what they can do though. Graveyard triggers during the end phase are weird because they can happen, but then the turn immediately ends without more cards triggering. You can see this in action if you discard a Kelbek or Agido during the end phase. You will mill 5, but no other graveyard triggers are allowed. It's like you dwellered yourself without activating Dweller.

But yea Tear is one of the few decks that can even attempt to play out of this. Especially because they play Kelbek which can trigger off of a Drytron tributing a card in the hand which you need to do while you have both a Mu Beta and Beatrice on the board.

It's weird I was looking for disco ball

Nah I don't play the cards for Herald nonsense. I legitimately hate that build of Drytron with my entire being.

We have a chad among us

I don't know if me turn skipping players is necessarily chad behavior, but I do like playing just regular Megalith Drytron from time to time.

DRNM

Good luck activating that card when you don't have a main phase at all.

Also the end board is just an Auroradon and Beatrice that are both spent with the Thunder of Ruler set, so it's not like there would be anything meaningful to negate.

Droplet would actually work but like I said there's nothing meaningful to negate once the combo has resolved.
