What’s the final piece?

We have lost to Port Adelaide twice this season just falling short on both occasions, though for a good chunk of both contests we were in front and controlling the game.

Similar to last night the first half was a dominant statement. The Forward line was swimming, Ugle-Hagan was plucking marks for fun against Moore, Naughton was kicking em between the sticks for a change, West and Weightman were playing as effective smalls and Daniel was slicing through the middle with ease. The pies comeback was inevitable as we did not have the steam to withhold that onslaught late in the game.

Not to mention we beat Brisbane earlier on in the year, regardless of their form.

This showcases we can match it with the best teams in the league, but what is the final piece? What are we missing or need to rapidly improve on to make a flag run in finals, even without the luxury of a top 4 finish.

I truly believe we are capable of pulling out a miracle or at least making a prelim this year.

For one For any chance in the finals, we gotta tag pivotal players. I couldn’t believe how much space we allowed Nick Daicos last night, while Bont had two men hanging off every limb, Bevo Ball is fucking idiotic in that sense.
