I don’t exactly have the vocabulary for this stuff, so hopefully I’ll get my point across!

I don’t think I walked out of the salon with terrible hair (and please excuse its messiness in both photos), but a few days later and I’ve come to realize it’s just not what I wanted.
I was hoping for something more cohesive and uniform, but my stylist was insistent upon highlights and agreed to make them very thin so they wouldn’t be thick and stripe-y and I think it came out a little dated. I feel like it looks worse in person that it does in the photo - there’s a high contrast between my base (which is she did not lighten and is not natural - I’m naturally a light ashy brown) and the blonde, which overall makes for a quite grey appearance, when I wanted a warm, honey color.

I called the stylist and she agreed to see me today. Since I lack the vocabulary and don’t want to cause further confusion or miscommunicate my desires, what should I say or ask her to do?

Thanks so much in advance!
