Hi everyone, I am learning to freestyle lap swim and suffering from some anxiety in the water that I'm hoping others have experienced and overcome.

I notice I first have the urge to breathe about halfway through a 25yd lap. I feel calm up until that point, but once I have to start breathing, things go south. As ridiculous as it sounds, having to think about breathing on top of everything else feels like too much. It makes me feel breathless, gasp-y and panicked, even though I can get enough air. And then when I panic, I instinctively speed up, which I’m sure just makes the breathlessness worse. I think I understand and can anticipate what is happening yet have not been able to work my way a

I would love y’all’s input on crafting a workout schedule that meets my needs and preferences. My gym is really nice and offers loads of high-quality group fitness classes that I attend as often as possible, but I haven’t seen many physical results in the two years I’ve been a member. I’m ready to craft a plan and get serious (and get my money’s worth!), and I’d love your help. Apologies for being long-winded!

I recently spent a very good two weeks in the UK’s Lake District and I was hoping someone here might be able recommend other places where I could indulge in a similar experience. Maybe I was quite spoilt there, but I’ve been inspired to explore the possibility of living my life that way, at least for a little while.

Essentially, I am looking for areas anywhere in the world where I would be able rent a room for a few nights and head out on foot in the mornings onto beautiful, multi-hour walks or hikes. Whenever I feel like I’ve gotten enough out of that little town, I’d like to be able to get easily to the next one, either via a day’s walk or with a bus or by hitching.

I do a bit of remote

I recently had a ball of a time walking from town to town within the Lakes and am inspired to visit other parts of the world where a similar lifestyle would be possible.

In the Lakes I would stay a night or a few in one town and hit the fells in the area before carrying onto the next place and doing it all again, and I’d love to try something similar elsewhere in the world. Any suggestions?

I do a bit of remote work, so there is the need for a semi-stable internet connection, which was not always offered in the Lakes.

Thanks in advance!
