The Spider and the Fly
When you first arrive, you get the sensation of being watched, and if only from the corner of your eye, you see flashes of something. Though it may take days you may have believed you were insane at first, but you can tell it's not just a hallucination.
I first arrived in this godforsaken place just after noon. I must've tripped or fallen, and I wound up here. Where is here? I am not exactly sure, but I know it is not somewhere I am supposed to be. Originally, I was in stuffy yellow halls, the noise of the lights silenced my footfalls.
The first day, or at least the time on this phone stated it was, was unnerving. I was completely lost, I thought I was dreaming for many hours, before I finally realized something was terribly wrong. And that was when I got the first glimpse of it. I was in a large open room, it looked to stretch miles, though it seemed impossible, and a small flash of black and grey behind a pillar far away. I was elated at first for finding someone else, but I took a few steps then turned and ran, a strange sense of panic seizing my heart.
The second day, is when it began, the madness. I read before that the maximum amount of time a normal person could stay in an insane asylum is three days, if they wish to remain safe. But I caught two other glimpses of the wretched thing, however, I could still not make out what it was. And so I believed I was hallucinating, and was in fact mad. Near the end of the day though, a fresh sight awaited me, I believed I had exited at first, as there was a door which led to a forest, but it only took a few minutes in there to hurry back inside. The clock on my phone said 5:48, but the forest outside was almost pitch black. This forest may have had another human in it, because I heard screams, terrible screams, and though it was in the distance, I made the decision to leave.
The third day, the walls turned white and the buzzing dimmed, as while as the floor turning into hard tile, besides that nothing changed. This was the only day I did not see it, and though that may sound comforting, it terrified me, as if it could be hiding anywhere, and that fear was heightened, when I heard a scuttle off in the distance, the tiles and walls echoing the sound.
The fourth day was when I decided to start writing this. There was no internet of course, but it's still somehow possible this post may send when I am finished. But anyways, this was when I was first attacked. The lights went out, the white walls now pitch black, and I quickly turned on the phone flashlight, which afterwards, drained it down to 54%. Fast clicking, drawing nearer. I ran, and I somehow knew that if I turned my flashlight around to see the beast, I would go fully insane, and would never see the light of day again. Eventually, I escaped, and this I am writing now that the lights are now once again illuminating this hellscape.
The monster may attack you many times, but you can outmenouver it, and live to see another day. But be warned, its eyes will now rest solely on you, and you alone.
I do not want to talk about the sixth and seventh days, and all I will say is this, that there were three more attacks, and I am now injured, by what I cannot tell, due to the lights turning off again and again, but my leg has been pierced, and now I leave a bloody trail for it to follow.
On the eighth day I hid. I found a tunnel and laid down. Thirst and hunger showed themselves for the first time, and I was too tired to go further. I may die here, whether it be from bloodloss or thirst or even hunger I cannot tell, but I do believe I am safe from it in here.
It may attack more than once, but it does not need to waste its energy. It knows that from the minute you stepped foot in this place your life was finished. And whether it kills you itself, or if you come crawling back to it to end the insanity of isolation and fear, it will have it's feast.
It is now the ninth day and I limp to it now. I know that this time the lights will not go out, and that I will see the terror. It's waiting for me. I can no longer see the point of living like this. This post will be the last memory of me, and I have revised it, as the madness now seems to leave my soul, as I know I will finally be free soon. I do not believe the monster is tormenting me, but it may be smarter than it appears. And so I raise a question to you, if anyone ever reads this: Is the thing really a monster? Or is it a blessing in disguise?

Choice. I love to see some actually well-composed fiction here.
