Got out and played for the first time in 15+ years yesterday!

After a roughly 15 year hiatus I got out and played yesterday. I'm definitely fatter and slower than I used to be, but the rust got knocked off of the gun skills and game IQ pretty quickly. All of my upgraded new (to me) equipment performed flawlessly. Definitely hooked again, and using it as motivation and a way to get back into better shape.

Side note: being chunky might have it's benefits, got a solid bounce off the gut and the moon 😂

Enjoy the gut bounces while they last. I had a break on Sunday right in the fluffy and was mad. Been enjoying bounces for months off and suddenly denied.

Welcome back! I got back into it too after 15 years. Remember now why it was so addicting to play!

I just got back into it after a 4.5 year hiatus. I wish I never stopped but I’m definitely glad to be back.

9 years here. It's fun to go out with 23 year old gear that's older than the children playing.

Dad bods for the win! Which sucks because I've always just had the dad bod....

I came back this year after about an 8-year hiatus played a couple times before the big game to get some practice my fat ass can barely run into the field to to get into the action lol that's what having kids does to you 😂 oh my teenage years of being skinny caught up to me

I'm coming back after 20+ and trying to get my wife into it also. If like to find one more person get a 3 man team and possibly get to tourney level

Yeah there's a LOT of 3-man teams in my area. CFAO (Carolina Field Operators Association) runs them and last month they had 58 teams in one of the divisions, I believe division 4.

I'm planning on trying to play some 3 man once I've gotten the rest of the way back into shape

What is the payout for the average tourneys

These are only div 5 and 6 tournaments, so there's no payout, just medals. Entry is only $90/team, and you get a pretty discounted rate on paint. Very much entry level for sure.

My buddy Patrick started playing in February and has lost 60 pounds already. He also made some changes to his diet, but that combined with paintball once or twice a week can make a big difference! Glad you’re back

Yeah I've dropped about 35 pounds this year from diet changes. Knees and back thank me already lol.

Going from a job where I was routinely out hiking around the woods a few days a week to the tune of 3-5 miles usually, to a predominantly desk job was a killer.
