That's what I would recommend yes, go to a local place, not big chain.

Hmm yeah seems like step 1 is dealing with insurance company. And maybe they’ll cover a rental, but not sure if it’s ok to then take the rental on a road trip

It's their fault don't even mess with it. File a claim with their insurance and make the. Get you a rental car.

Thanks, definitely filing a claim as first course of action. Rental car would be great, but not sure if that will get approved/happen quickly enough for me to be able to get to work and make my road trip as well.

I don’t know. I can’t see underneath the extend of the damage. Be safe, don’t drive it and let insurance handle it.
