A PSA to anyone still considering buying.

Before I start this is just purely my opinion.

At 70$ this game is a pass, it is far from the best cod experience and mw3 is only 4 months away.

But with that being said, it isn’t a horrible cod, it isn’t a horrible experience (despite match making being frustrating at times) and at the current price of 38$ on battlenet, PlayStation store and Xbox.. I actually think it’s not a bad buy. For about 40$ after tax if you play it until the next game launches it only cost you 10$ a month to play it (or 33 cents a day).

It is not a bad game, it’s far from the worst cod to ever exist. Did it nostalgia farm with the naming? Absolutely. Is it far from the original? Yes. But that doesn’t make it a bad game.

It has plenty of stuff to do depending on what you enjoy doing. The snd in the game is decent if you are into that kind of thing. The ranked mode is actually decent and cuts out a lot of the op cheesy bs that people use in the standard mp. It has a few rewards for you to earn. The camo grind is actually obtainable for most people with the challenges leading up to platinum being fairly user friendly for the most part and can be done in a matter of a few hours per gun as opposed to the previous days in other entries. The seasonal mastery challenge events are actually decent imo as it lets you have more to do and earn if you are into getting camos and challenges done.

For 40$ I actually don’t think it’s a bad game as it is now (bar the issues with pc but I’m not playing it on pc so I can’t speak on that aspect). It might not have been the game everyone expected but it isn’t a horrible game or the worst game. It isn’t the best either but that doesn’t mean that it can’t be a decent game.

The battle passes are okay, we don’t get the most content but the free content is still okay and well it’s free, the black cell shit is just kinda bull shit imo and any 30$ mtx in a full priced game is absurd. But at the end of the day it is infact optional and if you don’t support those decisions don’t buy the mtx.

This community is so full of hate.. and it’s only everyone saying how much they hate the newest entry and has been as long as I can remember. Cod has had some truly bad games in its history, but this definitely isn’t in the list of the worst.

For frame of reference I’ve been playing cod since cod 3. Imo the best entry in the series was black ops 2. My top cods would be black ops 2, black ops 1, cod 4, mw3 and world at war.

Just thought I’d share my opinion on if you should get the game or not with the current sales since these questions do pop up quite frequently.
