"Woohoo!" Terry shouted as he swan dived into the pit of moss covered water. Water that had Waterweirds in it moments ago. Had.
"Oh come on! Jessica, you're gonna have to pull your dumb paladin of a boyfriend out of the aquarium again!" Shouted the elven princess, Mar'Ri, to the group rogue. The only one that seemed to know how to swim...
"Oh, gods dammit, Terry!" Came the leather clad human girls response as she swan dived as well in order to catch up with her halfdemon boyfriend.
"...and that's how we discovered you had moved the entrance to your room!" Terry said, a dumb smile on his face. One that was shared across all his party, causing me to sigh in defeat again.
"Gods... Dammit. Was hoping you'd jump in before thinking to throw a coin in, causing the weirds to escape with all the water, and leave nothing but the poison moss and spikes..." I pinched the bridge of my skeletal nose. Being an undying lich was great. Being an undying lich bound to a dungeon? Not so much. Try as I might, I can't get this one particular party to either: A) Stay away. B) Die. C) Stop finding my entrance. Or D) Stop using my dungeon as a thrill ride and leaving without fighting me and destroying the core I was guarding.
"And why the hells would you jump into water that Waterweirds were just in!? Do you not understand how dangerous that is!?" I snapped, glaring at each one in turn.
"I mean... We are a bit wet, and Tamtam almost drowned..." said the druid, another Elf, but I couldn't be bothered to learn their name... They were the most normal of the group. And they were STILL a thrill seeker, dammit!
I merely sighed again, defeated once more and opened the way up for them once more. I made sure that there were more ironic traps along the way too. Like killing a goblin would send it into lava destroying the chant to open the doors and reset the lowering roof for example... Maybe that room would do them in...
