Set Memory Cue colors to the same as Hot Cue

Question/Help needed

I'm currently using Lexicon to do this (which works perfectly) but it's the only feature of the software I'm using and for $18 a month, I kick myself every month when I'm charged. Should just be an XML file find/replace but my coding skills aren't that great.

Memory position colors are not stored inside the XML (hot cue colors are).

if you're on macOS, the Rekordbox Cue and Key Tool (ReCK) can set memory cues identical to hotcues incl the color.

Important notes:

  1. The hotcue colors must be set in Rekordbox and not through conversion or any other 3th party software.
  2. The hot cue color palette and the memory cue color palette are NOT the same. Hotcue has 16 different colors and memory got 8. Reck will try to proxy the best colors, but some will overlap.

ReCK is designed as a bridge between Mixed in Key and Rekordbox. But for the "set mem cues as hotcues" you don't need to own Mixed in Key.

Hey MMG. Finally got around to giving this a shot. I got everything setup and I was able to get ReCK to create memory cues where I set the hot cues in rekordbox. It didn't assign colors to the memory cues though. Is there a setting for this in the utility?

Read what I said above. If those hotcues origated from conversion software it won't work, only if you did set them in RB.

And if you're on RB5 (=XML method) then it won't work.
