In stark contrast to every other deck that was hit on the banlist - including fucking Floo - there is almost nobody trying to play Tear post-banlist. The deck may actually be dead

It may be dead in the aqua or
'Tis a bit too early to draw any definitive conclusions from any submitted decklists (or lack thereof) on MDM.
The deck is shirley Not dead. Is it tier1 tho? Can't know until people more skilled and smarter than I brew an "optimal" tear list.

What are you even talking about. It's not post-banlist yet

the banlist hasnt been implemented but there are people who are still playing versions of Spright, Branded, and Floo that comply with the banlist. Nobody is doing the same with Tear. Thats what these images mean

1
SilpheedSs•

Nobody is submitting decks.

why is nobody submitting post-banlist tear decks - the most popular deck in the entire game - when theres multiple people submitting post-banlist Floo decks

1
SilpheedSs•

Because post-banlist Floo requires just 1 card to be changed.
Post-banlist Tear requires extensive restructuring.
Needs more time in the oven/let cook.

Why would people start playing an objectively worse tear list prematurely? Surely they are simply using Merlii while they still can

Ah. Maybe people don't want to play/upload with a nee version of tear before needing to play with a new version of tear
The fact that the new tear card isn't able to fill in the function of a banned card the deck used might mean that the deck NEEDS A WHOLE LOT OF WORK TO MAKE IT USABLE in a different way that it was usable before.\

To make it clear for your ice rink brain:

  • banlist hasn't been implemented yet
  • tear needs major deck and play restructuring
  • as such needs more time to solidify and distil into a competent list
  • whichever tiny tournament that has been played with the new banlist is not representative of the powerlevel of a deck
  • more time needs to be had with an updated "good" version of tear to be able to gauge the power level of the deck
  • masterduelmeta is not a gospel, the deck information it has is not directly representative of the current truth, stop being as stupid as a diehard religious person and treat it as more of a guide
  • learn how to critically think for yourself
  • learn to discern whether the information you are given "paints the whole picture" and learn how to interpret that information in context
  • wrinkle your brain a bit

Tl;dr I'm a hater

Yes, a grand total of 2 decks within a span of more than a week. Thats not a good sign for the deck's playability

Which is probably for the best if the deck’s playability has been severely hampered. I went from loving the deck on release, to finding it extremely annoying seeing a scream/havnis/merrli mill hit kelbek and agido on my turn.

We're not post banlist yet, friend

Tear gameplay is not like before. But it does not cripple the deck. You will just tread carefully. Next season reset.

We're at the end of the season, nobody or hardly anyone is going to bother doing a winstreak or ranking up to master 1 because they already are there.

Next month you can try this again and have something that makes sense.
