Bruised Bone

Sorry if this isn't the right place for this, I just need advice.

Just wondering if anyone has had a similar injury. A few nights ago I go pulled by a big dog and fell off the curb and hit the ground hard. My left knee and right foot are all sorts of bloodied up. I went to the doctor yesterday because I can barely walk. The pain in my foot and knee are excruciating. I had x-rays done and I was told nothing was broken and that it was "just some bone bruising". I can't walk and was told to elevate and ice.

I guess I was just wondering if there is truly nothing I can do for relief. It the top of my foot and any amount of pressure makes me want to vomit it hurts so bad.

I start a new job next week and I'm just so scared I won't be able to walk yet by that point. Any advice would be awesome.
