The most useless CGI film shots ever made
Recently an example that struck me is in Spider-Man: Far from Home , Marvel's latest.
Check out this shot of Nick Fury interrogating Peter Parker in his hotel room:
I don't know if it comes from a whim of Samuel L. Jackson, or if Disney just doesn't care anymore (in any case they do whatever they want with their special effects today)… but damn, it's was really too difficult to find a wall and two props to film in front of? Was it really impossible to find a fake gun to give the actor?
Seriously, what's next? We might as well scan the chair he's sitting on, his eyepatch... and even him while we're at it.
