Remember, when asking for help it is useful to provide as many clear pictures as you can of the front and back of the watch, the actual movement, and the inside back of the watch case. If you have not done these things, please consider adding more images to your post.

Story behind it: I got into watches recently and remembered that my father had some watches. He passed away 20 years ago. So my mother showed me the watches: Two Swatches, a Junghans Integral Steel Mega, a dubios looking Tag Heuer Autavia GMT (No GMT ring, a plain caseback - a Frankenwatch at best?) and this watch right here. A quick web search says it could be a Breitling Top Time Ref. 810. My mother did not really know anything about the watch for sure. Can you say from the pictures if this may be legit? Thanks in advance!

Remove the case back and sometimes you will find a reference number

Nope

Looks good but pop the caseback off.

Fakes don’t usually look this beat up

And if they do get beat up, they become obvious fakes… gold plating flakes/rubs off, “precious metal” hands and batons rust, as does the movement. This looks like (to me, an uneducated amateur in these things) like genuine patina…

I have the same reference in a different color scheme. Looks good to me!

Looks legit, nothing sus from the outside at least.

Thanks everyone for the replies! Now I am a little excited. I will bring the piece to a trusted local watchmaker and let them check it.
