Safe to have HDMI connected to GPU and not monitor?

So I have a 30ft HDMI cable that I use to connect my PC to my living room TV whenever I want to play on the couch. It's not always plugged into the TV, when that's the case should I also unplug it from my GPU as well?

Leaving it in your GPU should be no problem at all, so just leave it.

Should be fine leaving it plugged in.

I used to get shocked by charged HDMI cables because of that though. But I guess you can pick your convenience poison there.
