So, am currently helping a friend get into Warframe, and a lot of the guides they were finding were emphasizing a lot of the "best" weapons to go after...but a lot of them were pretty darn unattainable for someone just starting their Star Chart grind.

I compiled this to help them out; compiled from various recommendations on the interwebz, here, and conversations with my clan, as well as a dollop of my own personal opinion.

Limited the list to my sort of "top 10 easy to get" and my "top 10 you'll see recommended commonly)

Maybe it will help someone!

I suggest a better approach would be to make your "best" for each MR, which serves better as a guide to what can one get at their current level or what to work for. Might aswell suggest best Stance along the weapon.

Ya this list needs some proofing, xoris is a poelarm didnt you know

Good pick but sadly this doesnt feels like a new player guide. Only a few in the list are easily obtainable for new players, incarnons are locked behind New Wars, Hate is basically late game weapon unless you are extremely lucky, alot of the primes on the list are vaulted and some of them are quite expensive.

Xoris is an MR9 polearm? you might wanna double check ur list bud

The only Kuva/Tenet weapons whose MR requirements mean anything are the Tenet melees, as Ergo Glast won't sell them to you if you're below that requirement. Kuva requirements are fully meaningless.

Not for a newer player though, isnt that the purpose of this list, even comes with potato installed medicore weapon with 60 capacity>fodder weapons until that point with 30 capacity

im kinda offended that my boi broken war wasnt mentioned.

I'd add Tenet Agendus alongside the other Tenet weapons and Argo & Vel alongside the Duviri weapons. Their ranged heavy attacks are quite good.

Hate, Praedos, Innodem, ok lol

Edun is a Guandao Prime sidegrade, can be obtained as early as you finish vor's prize, has little to no resource farm and beats most of these.

I'd almost argue that Broken War > Hate

Unless you have the Incarnon, but then we arent talking about new players.

A lot of these weapons, even ones on the first list, aren't new player friendly. The Duviri melee weapons should be taking up most of that list

Too high MR weapons.

Where are Duviri Melees - which are all MR0?

I'm confused about why there are non-Stropha weapons in there...

Xoris, cerata good picks, but they barely fit melee, imagine u throw 20-26meter silent nuke grenade, each second and with unlimited ammo... On top u don't care about combo counter since it frozen at x2. In right build they can do level cap easily(just strip armor) also direct upgrade to em its glaive prime which cost like helicopter but destroy any grineer(for corpus toxin cerata still better)

While on real "melee" u need go melee(lol) and build&keep combopoints for do some damage, or play with naramon operator tree

Don't worry; post deleted. Poorly conceived; incompletely proofed; lesson learned.
