What even is the point of including them then? Apex is banned, as is Eglen and Empen so the deck wont be able to do much of anything. Im just going to play Simorgh but even my Simorgh list run a small Floo line because why wouldnt you.

Every deck that I had that could had been played in this event is literally gutted.

To answer the OPs question, because we don't need another tier 0 event like the Lab event.
But also because Konami likes Maxx C so much, they made an event specifically to force people to play a deck revolving around the C archtype.
It wouldnt be tier zero. There are lots of other decks that play much better. Itsn ot like Lab where it was the only thing you could play with one of the two types. We have five and all those types except bug and reptile have things much better decks than just Floo.

Blackwing is a anime archetype. It gets what it gets. Their boss monster should have been a bird and Tri is dumb as fuck. Floo is fine.
I build a Trash Alien Deck with a bunch of Board breakers, i hope thats enough for this lame event

Play floodgates or play otk. No inbetween as every worthwhile alternative is banned, unless you summon 10 times of course. :) Defeating the point in ammassing a negate in the first place. Fucking clown game.

I almost feel like they were banned due to the backlash of everyone having labrynth in one of the last events. If floo and blackwings were all fine it’s probably all we would see. Hopefully we will get to see a bunch of neat decks.
That's probably exactly the reason. Absolutely no excusable reason they allowed Labrynth in that event knowing it's a meta deck, and these events are meant to be fun.
Floo is an oppressive deck like Kashtira that shouldn't have existed in the first place. Blackwings I understand getting hit for the event, because let's be real, they are one of the strongest Winged beast decks
with the rest of kash coming likely in this next pack when the store updates i doubt people are going to be willing to burn UR dust on a few insect cards or reptiles for a specific deck when its only for one event that you will only get half of the gems for people will either play the loaners put together some scratch bs or just pass on this half of the festival and wait for the xyz/fusion one an at least get half of the promised gems sadly they just banned too much.
