Mcdonald's app chose their double cheeseburger promo day to stop working properly.

Sometime I have to close and open the app a few times to get the deals to load. Try that.

This isn’t surprising to me at all. I’ve said before — though I think it was in another sub, last time I went to McDonald’s, all I wanted was stuff from the Dollar Menu. Not the multiple dollar menu, I mean the one where everything on it was just a dollar. Where I live (as I’m not sure if other locations it may have been different), the Filet–O–Fish was on that menu. Currently? The damn sandwich alone is $4.19 — for that price, I should get fries or a drink, at least.

I also recently heard on the news, the company is considering removing self–serve drink machines in the dining room. They’re claiming less and less people are eating in the restaurant. I’m guessing they’re doing so, so when a person wants a refill, they’ll have to pay for it.

IMO, I think McDonald’s has just become greedy in all sorts of ways, so unless I need a quick bite for the road (which is usually rare) or they start having actual worthwhile value again, I may not be going back for a good while.

It might be the worst fast food app of them all.

If I try to assemble an order ahead of time, the cart will usually reset if I close the app.

If I pay first, then arrive at the store, I'm often unable to complete the order. It will submit and time out. Apparently the staff inside get the order without the parking spot # and are happy to just sit on it unless you come get it.

So now I just park in the pickup spot and do the full order there. But even that doesn't always work. Few weeks ago I went for 20 nuggets and a coke, ended up with two orders after the app again didn't send my order cleanly. Think I only ended up paying for one however, so some upside if you're lucky.

Oh, if you order at the wrong mcdonalds, too bad. You have to wait a few hours for your order to expire because you can't cancel it, and your deal/coupon is locked in.
