Install mute button motorcycle intercom system

Hi,

I do endurance karting races and we currently have motorcycle intercoms installed into our helmet.
We have a pair of this: https://www.amazon.com/EJEAS-Motorcycle-Snowmobile-Communication-Interphone/dp/B078S67GK2/ref=sr_1_3?crid=1LANH9LFZBJJI&keywords=ejeas+v6+pro&qid=1695119994&sprefix=ejeas+v6+pro%2Caps%2C221&sr=8-3

It is basically a bluetooth transmitter, you can plugin via 3.5mm aux. (this system is in the helmet).
The other device is basically built in a headset diy style.

Now this thing is full duplex, you can hear each other constantly. During a race this can be pretty annoying. That the driver constantly talks is perfectly fine but the other guy standing in the 'paddock' does not need to talk all the time. there is a lot of background noice for the driver too.

Therefor I was wondering if there is some sort of 'button' that I can easily slide on (without the need to cut open the headset cables?). Tried to scout amazon but I am a total noob about these kind of stuff

Hi, u/ForAllTimeAlways! This is a reminder about Rule #1 (If you have already added great details, awesome, ignore this comment. This message gets attached to every post as a reminder):

  1. DETAILS MATTER: Use detail in your post. If you are posting for help with specific hardware, please post the brand/model. If you need help troubleshooting, post what you have done, post the hardware/software you are using, post the steps to recreate the problem. Don’t post a screenshot (or any image, really) with no context and expect people to know what you are talking about.

You could try a inline mute something similar to this.

i'll do some more scouting and add the proper one on in a sec.

Great, thank you for the suggestion. I can try this one out. The parts are pretty cheap so worth a shot!
