Originally started with UK Steelers Fans and realised that Bud Dupree/Benny Snell fans would hijack the thread. I just wanted to know how many other people from the UK and Europe watched the NFL and identified as Steeler Fans, your favourite player for extra votes.

I live on the doorstep of the Southern Ocean and identify as Yinzer.
I was born and raised Pittsburgh, and I don’t like near a euro, but I think this counts?
You know who my fav(o)urite player is.
I used to attend games at Three Rivers with Lambert's Lunatics. About 50 of us would get in with an old ticket stub and a rolled up $5 bill. The guy all the way to right at Gate A would pretend he was tearing our tickets and pocket the fiver.
My family lives in Hanau, Germany and their favorite player is Roethlisberger
I live in Bristol but was born in pittsburgh
I’m from The Netherlands, born and raised, don’t have any connection with Pittsburgh but still identify as a Steeler Fan.
Favourite player is Troy Polamalu. Being a goalkeeper myself I always identified as a safety.
I’m from Denmark and been a Steelers fan since 2000. I have no connection to Pittsburgh other than loving the Steelers. Been fortunate to see them play live once against the Giants in med life stadium. So many great players, so it’s hard to pick one. I would say it’s Troy P, closely followed by the Bus and Hines Ward
Originally from UK, been in Denmark 10 years. Steelers fan since 1990. Troy, Hines, Big Ben, Jerome, Rod... quite a few favourites across the years.
Luxembourg, favourite player Ward, liked the kits so became a fan lol
I live in the UK and have supported the steelers since I started watching the sport, around 2008. Current favourite player is Pickens, over the whole time frame I’ve been watching it’s Troy
I'm in the UK (Bristol). Been a Steelers fan since watching my first superbowl in 2011. Favourite ever player is Troy, current favourite player is TJ.
Which part of Bristol?
Cardiff, Wales.
Jerome Bettis.
Steelers fan for 20 years and counting.
Macedonia, Steelers fun since started to watch NFL 10 years ago. Favorite player Big Ben.Fire Mat Canada.
Italian here. Spent a year near Pittsburgh and have relatives in that area so became a Steelers fan!
I’m Not from UK or Europe. I Grew up outside of Pittsburgh and currently live in Texas. But thought this story belongs in this thread.
I went to Ireland/Northern Ireland once in my university days. My roommate and I drove to Belfast to meet a friend who spent a year at my university as an exchange student.
While there, we all went to a pub and met a bunch of her friends. Many of whom also had an exchange student experience.
Drinks were had, stories were shared, laughs were howled.
I went to piss and come back to find about 10 or so drunk Irishmen standing…. Seemingly waiting for me to return I thought “JFC… what did my roommate say to do to piss off everyone? And how can I diffuse the situation?”
Then on cue, the whole group starts chanting “HERE WE GO, STEELERS! HERE WE GO!”
While I was in the pisser, my roommate shared I was from Pittsburgh and one of the exchange students was in university in Cleveland and his roommate at the time was a Steelers fan. Which turned him into one. And he brought it back to his friends.
It was a really cool experience! Brought tears to my eyes.
And my fave player is #43. 110% effort every play and such a kind person off the field.
I'm from Sheffield UK.
Steeler for life, started late but "bleed black and gold" now.
Favourite player all time Troy, although to be honest I feel like TJ may take that helm.
I only caught the twilight years of Troy, watching TJ dominate for his whole career is special
Went to Uni of Sheffield and played American football there so black and gold + steel city = natural Steelers as a team selection. Current fave player is TJ but loved Juju in his time here, and even when he was at the Chiefs last year I loved that he did well. Any Steelers bars in London?
I know there is a Steelers bar in Rome, so they must have a decent amount
