I Quit Today

Fuck Subway. I work at a store that is one of five in the franchise. We are the least grossing store. Idk why we are even open. Today I walked in to my 4-930 shift with no vegi back ups, we are out of literally all cheese except pepper jack and mozzarella. I had incoming orders online back to back, asking for shit we don’t have. I have been busy all day. Mind you, I’m ALONE. No one to call if I run out of money or anything I need.

So finally while being backed into a corner by 8 customers, 2 online orders who refused a refund and wanted something in place that we didn’t have, I said FUCK THIS SHIT. I put the food away and left. I should have just left it like it was. Not like they could do anything to me.

All the days I’m alone and have people lined up out my door, and NO ONE TIPS AT ALL.. and we have to split the online tips with the entire staff? That’s fucking bullshit.

Edit: I just got a call from a local pet store that pays more and pays weekly. Again, FUCK Subway lol.

It really does not make sense to put a single person working. Your point with a customer coming in right as you finish with another is so valid, I use to get caught in that loop and not get anything done cause I'm alone at a job where you have to do everything, prep, sandwich, ringing up, cleaning and closing, probably making bread as well, and cookies to, when morning shift couldn't even be bothered to finish anything, not even their dishes. Subway is the shittiest job I've ever been at. From managers, to coworkers, regional managers, and the owners. Rotten to their franchised core. If you've got a good team, be thankful fellow sandwich artists, it can get so so so much worse

Sounds like my job 2 days out of the week. It's not Subway but they're just new guy who gets two doubles in the week I get the other five. Every time I come in at 4:00 it's already busy and there's no backups in the line is almost empty if not empty. I tell him man you're here in the morning you're supposed to prep the line and he says he didn't have time. Bitch that's literally the job. Lots of places are hiring there's a lot better places to work than Subway right now. It sucks but I guarantee you'll be making more money at your next job fr

What's the average sales your store does in a day? Our owner he has 6 stores, hardly ever see him and when he does come by I wish he would just leave cause ugh! Can't stand him. Our DM is awesome. We are one of his busier locations. The slower stores out of the 6 run at least 2 per shift and always have 2 closers. Maybe like an hour or two between 3-5 there is one person but it is typically always dead around those times.

I recently quit a Subway too and I was there for about a month or so. I got tips and I assumed split it with my manager, who is the only one I worked with. I quit for personal reasons and lack of hours but my second check was 0 tips when I I had seen tips there and was learning register. Has this happened to anyone else ?

OMG! You poor child!
To be stressed with such a situation? You know, where you actually had to work? AND address a situation?

You poor child! I hope that this did not fuck up your life! I pray that you'll survive this outrageous ordeal where for once in your life you actually HAD TO WORK!

You try running a store that takes more than two people by yourself with nothing you need, customers screaming at you and being terrified of a manager. On top of all that I have home shit going on, I’m about to be homeless because my parents are divorcing and mom is making us sell our house. I’m drowning in medical debt.
