Lore dump for one of my successors, the Fangs of Morkai’s Great Companies, the Iron Sons.

First off, a general overview of the chapter that I suggest reading first

The Iron Sons are the third Great Company of the Fangs of Morkai, and unique among all other companies they consist entirely of vehicles/crews and the Iron Priests who service them. Indeed, they are unique among the other companies in that they are lead

by an Iron Priest known as the Iron Lord, not a Wolf Lord.

Formed from the armored battalion’s of the lost crusade fleet that founded the chapter, they maintain a highly above average pool of heresy era vehicles. Indeed, they maintain the ability to produce some of the less esoteric models used during the Great Crusade, such as the neutron and autocannon variants of the Sabre strike tank, favored in the chapter for its high speed, maneuverability and firepower, for which it is fielded in high numbers.

Unlike most of their brother companies, the Iron Sons rarely, if ever operate as a full company force, due to a threat of the scale requiring the full force of the company not appearing since the dark days of the Heresy. Instead, the Company detaches forces to other companies for their war efforts. While all Great Companies field their own transports, the majority of fighting vehicles that operate in the chapter are from these detachments.
